The 3x3 basketball events kicked off at Thanh Tri Gymnasium (Hanoi) on May 13. The Vietnam 3x3 basketball teams won the last 3 matches on the first day of competition with the following results: Vietnam women’s basketball won the Philippines with the score 21-18 and beat Cambodia with the score 21-7; and Vietnam men's basketball beat Singapore with the score 21-15.
