Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính had a meeting with Crown Prince of Jordan Al Hussein bin Abdullah II in Riyadh on Tuesday (local time), on the occasion of the former's trip to Saudi Arabia and attendance at the 8th Edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII).

Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính met with his Egyptian counterpart Mostafa Madbouly in Riyadh on Tuesday (local time), on the occasion of his participation in the 8th Future Investment Initiative (FII) Summit and his working visit to Saudi Arabia.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Đặng Xuân Dũng said at the meeting that the PM's trip is a new important milestone in the relationship between Việt Nam and Saudi Arabia, which will create new motivations for the growth of bilateral ties.

Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính hosted a reception in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday afternoon (local time) for Amin Al-Nasser, President and CEO of Saudi Aramco, one of the world’s largest companies in both scale and revenue, with turnover reaching nearly 500 billion US$ in 2023 and a total asset exceeding $660 billion.

Addressing the event, General Giang recalled the historic milestone on October 30, 1949, when the Standing Board of the Central Committee of the then Indochinese Communist Party decided that the military forces of Việt Nam fighting in and assisting Laos would be oganised into a separate system in the name of “volunteer soldiers”. The move affirmed the CPV’s righteous policy and viewpoint on performing the international mission.

The two leaders agreed to continue directing the two countries' agencies, departments and sectors to develop practical cooperation plans and programmes in agriculture, energy and telecommunications.

The Party leader noted that the commission has mobilised the participation of press and media agencies from the central to local levels, gradually building and consolidating the information and communication posture, creating a mainstream information flow, overwhelming negative and false information, creating consensus, arousing the will and determination of the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army to effectively carry out revolutionary tasks in the new period.

The visit is taking place in the context that Việt Nam and Saudi Arabia have enjoyed sound cooperation with practical outcomes since they set up their diplomatic relations in October 1999.

In a landmark speech, the Prime Minister reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to peace, resilience and a robust Việt Nam-UAE partnership.

At a reception for Vietnamese Ambassador Phạm Hùng Tâm, Deputy Secretary of Strategy, Policy, and Industry at the Australian Department of Defence Hugh Jeffrey said Việt Nam's sending a naval ship to the Kakadu Exercise 2024 in Darwin for the first time demonstrates the growing strategic cooperation and trust between the two countries' defence forces.

Turkish - Vietnamese relations are founded on shared values of patriotism, independence and resilience.

PM Chính praised the National Security Advisor's instrumental role in maintaining security, ensuring social order, and promoting development, innovation and prosperity in the UAE, particularly in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Welcoming the delegation, General Secretary Tô Lâm highlighted the visit's importance in reinforcing political trust and bolstering the century-old solidarity and special relationship between the two parties.

The UAE is the first Middle Eastern country to become Việt Nam’s comprehensive partner, underscoring both nations' commitment and high expectations for a strengthened, practical and effective collaboration.

Việt Nam aims to build international financial centres in HCM City and Đà Nẵng and build free trade zones in major cities, said the government leader.

Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Lâm Minh Thanh has asked the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to complete the registration, the granting of technical safety certificates and fishing licences for vessels, as well as the installation of vessel monitoring systems (VMS) according to regulations.

The leader also proposed that in the near future, the two sides should strengthen cooperation and experience sharing for stronger connectivity between the two economies

With the spirit of proletarian internationalism and following President Ho Chi Minh’s teaching that “helping the friend means helping ourselves”, volunteer soldiers and experts of Vietnam in Laos made substantial contributions to excellently fulfill the duty of joining hands with the Lao army and people to secure complete victory in the resistance wars against the French and US invaders.

PM Phạm Minh Chính, his wife and a delegation from Việt Nam are paying an official visit to the UAE at the invitation of President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The trip continues to concretise the cooperation agreements reached between the two countries’ leaders in recent high-level visits, and demonstrates their commitment to deepening and enhancing the bilateral relationship in a substantive and effective manner, thus bringing tangible benefits to both nations, Vietnamese Ambassador to Venezuela Vũ Trung Mỹ said.
