Việt Nam is ready to send experts to support the Solomon Islands in agriculture and fisheries and encourage businesses to invest in seafood processing plants, contributing to sustainable supply and value chains, top Vietnamese diplomat noted.

The General Secretary encouraged the expansion of successful models and best practices in the nationwide movement to protect national security, as well as continued collaboration with public security forces to assist residents during emergencies, natural disasters, storms and floods, and rescue operations.

Focus should be put on collaboration and mutual support in workforce training, vocational education, employment, social protection, policies for people with meritorious service, and poverty reduction, PM Phạm Minh Chính said.

The programme aimed to deepen friendship, solidarity and mutual understanding among young officers of the two nations, while highlighting their role in public outreach and contributing to building a border of peace, cooperation and development.

The two sides reviewed cooperation in joint border patrols and inspections; combat against transnational crimes such as illegal crossings, human trafficking, drug smuggling, and online fraud; information sharing via meetings, official correspondence, and hotlines; and the handover of individuals involved in illegal border crossings.

The World Tea Fest 2025, Vietnam’s first international-scale tea festival, features four remarkable records: a mass tea-brewing performance by 1,111 artisans; the preservation of a 100-year-old tea factory; the participation of beauty queens from 80 countries; and the display of 1,000 ancient tea trees.

The Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group attributed the disruption to a satellite malfunction that interrupted signal transmission, causing instability in the vessel monitoring system (VMS) equipment of many fishing boats. Of the affected vessels, more than 400 currently operating offshore were directly impacted, while the rest remain docked.

Vinh Long currently has 4,628 registered fishing vessels, 4,450 of which are licensed for fishing, accounting for 96.2 percent. Since early this year, no local vessels have violated foreign waters or been detained by foreign authorities.

With 440 out of 441 deputies present voting in favor, accounting for 92.83 percent of all deputies, the 15th National Assembly on November 10 adopted a resolution to elect Nguyen Van Quang, a member of the Party Central Committee, as Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court for the 2021–26 tenure.

After the vote, the newly elected Chief Justice Nguyễn Văn Quảng took the oath of office, pledging absolute loyalty to the Fatherland, the people and the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Việt Nam, and vowing to fulfil the duties entrusted by the Party, the State and the people.
