The 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS 1982) remains the comprehensive legal framework governing all activities at sea.

In the first nine months, Vietnam's GDP was estimated to increase 9.01 per cent from the same period last year. Agriculture, forestry and fisheries grew 4.02 per cent, contributing 5.35 per cent to overall gross value added growth; industry and construction rose 11.21 per cent, contributing 49.62 per cent; and services expanded 8.69 per cent, contributing 45.03 per cent.
