Party General Secretary To Lam hosted a reception in Hanoi on September 1 for a delegation of leaders and representatives from political parties across Asia, Europe, America and Africa, who are in Vietnam to attend a ceremony marking the 80^th anniversary of August Revolution and National Day (September 2).

President Luong Cuong expressed deep gratitude to international friends, progressive forces and peace-loving peoples worldwide who supported Vietnam in its struggle for liberation and in its ongoing development today.

The two leaders discussed concrete areas of cooperation, agreeing to accelerate the implementation of outcomes from recent high-level visits, settle pending projects, and develop preferential policies to boost cross-border trade.

Speaking at the event, First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee and President of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez affirmed that the extraordinary history of the Vietnamese people form the foundation of the exemplary relationship between the two countries.

The two top legislators stressed the need to complete a roadmap for cooperation for the 2025–2027 period while strengthening collaboration through the parliamentary channel, with a focus on finalizing discussions and moving towards the signing of a new cooperation agreement between the two legislatures.
