Xa Doai orange is a specialty fruit of central province of Nghe An, a cultivar of orange of Spanish origin cultivated in Vietnam at the former Catholic settlement at Xa Doai. In the past, its cultivators were commemorated by Vietnamese emperors for the succulent taste and juicy flavours. This harvest season, Xa Doai oranges sold for VND70,000 (US$3) per orange at the gardens. In recent days, many traders have flocked to Xa Doai region of Nghi Dien Commune in Nghe An Province’s Nghi Loc District to order for Tet holiday. VNA Photo: Tá Chuyên
