Hundreds of Vietnamese expatriates from northeastern Thailand gathered at the Vietnamese Consulate General in Khon Kaen province on April 25 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – 2025). In his opening remarks, Vietnamese Consul General in Khon Kaen Dinh Hoang Linh underlined that the 1975 Spring Victory, culminating in the Ho Chi Minh Campaign, was a glorious triumph of the entire Vietnamese people under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh. It was a monumental achievement paid for by the sacrifices of heroes and martyrs who laid down their lives for national independence. VNA Photo/Photo by courtesy
