Vietnam posts trade surplus of 10.18 billion USD in seven months

Vietnam’s export earnings grew by 14.8% to 262.44 billion USD in the first seven months of this year, while its import turnover rose by 17.9% to 252.26 billion USD, resulting in a trade surplus of 10.18 billion USD, according to the National Statistics Office (NSO). The country's total import-export turnover reached 514.7 billion USD in the period, marking an increase of 16.3% year-on-year. The domestic economic sector posted a growth rate of 6.7%% to 67.48 billion USD in exports, while the foreign-invested sector, including crude oil, increased by 17.9% to 194.96 billion USD.
