The third Vietnam-Laos-China ‘con’ festival, themed “Colour of friendship”, is going on in Muong Te district, the northern mountainous province of Lai Chau from December 29. The three-day event has welcomed nearly 1,000 participants from Lai Chau and Dien Bien provinces in Vietnam, Phongsaly province in Laos and Yunnan province in China. The ‘con’ is a small ball made from pieces of colourful cloth stuffed with puffed rice and cotton seeds. It is thrown at a bamboo hoop as part of a folk game played during the festivals and New Year holidays of Thai ethnic communities. VNA Photo

Lễ hội Ném còn ba nước Việt - Lào - Trung: Đặc sắc không gian văn hóa dân tộc (ngày 30/12)
[30/12/2019 23:52:32] Lễ hội Ném còn giữa các huyện biên giới của ba nước Việt - Lào - Trung lần thứ VI diễn ra trong 3 ngày 29 - 31/12 tại huyện Mường Tè (Lai Châu) với chủ đề “Sắc màu hữu nghị”. Tham gia Lễ hội có 5 đoàn gồm gần 1.000 đại biểu, diễn viên, vận động viên đến từ 3 nước: Huyện Mường Tè (Lai Châu) và thành phố Điện Biên, huyện Mường Nhé (Điện Biên) thuộc Việt Nam; huyện Nhọt U, tỉnh Phông Sa Lỳ (Lào); huyện Giang Thành, tỉnh Vân Nam (Trung Quốc). Lễ hội có nhiều hoạt động văn hóa, văn nghệ, thể thao, vui chơi giải trí, ẩm thực mang đậm bản sắc văn hóa của cộng đồng. Đặc biệt, trong ngày thứ 2, tại các không gian văn hóa, đồng bào dân tộc Mường Tè: Hà Nhì, Thái, La Hủ, Si La, Cống, Mông, Mảng đã trình diễn và tổ chức các trò chơi dân gian đậm đà bản sắc dân tộc nơi biên cương tổ quốc đầy sắc xuân.
