Vietnam and Japan signed some cooperation documents in Hanoi on October 19 within an official visit to Vietnam by Japanese Prime Minister Suga Yoshihide at the invitation of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc. The documents include a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the two countries' Ministries of Justice, a MoU between the Ministry of Transport and Communication of Vietnam and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan, and a diplomatic note concerning the transfer of anti-terrorism equipment to Vietnam's Police.
