Vietnam developed a comprehensive gender equality index for the public sector, marking a significant step towards identifying barriers and opportunities for policy change to secure gender equality in the political system, heard a workshop held in Hanoi on June 6. The assessment tool was penned through the collaboration between the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) and the University of Technology Sydney, and supported by the Australian Government.
