Trang An Festival kicked off on May 7 (the 18th day of the 3rd lunar month) to commemorate the legendary national hero Saint Quy Minh for his great contributions to protecting the country under the reign of the 18th Hung King. The 3-day festival features both solemn traditional festive and entertainment activities which help to promote the historical and cultural beauty in Ninh Binh Province. Various solemn traditional festive activities include the dragon procession, palanquin procession, and an incense offering ceremony in commemoration of legendary national hero Saint Quy Minh.
