The Thu Sy fish-trap weaving craft village in Tien Lu district, the northern province of Hung Yen, 60 km from Hanoi, is famous for its traditional craft lasting for more than 2 centuries. Today's fishing methods have been changed, bamboo-woven fish traps have been no longer in wide use but craftsmen in Thu Sy are still busy to create products that have become popular products of fine arts, interior decoration preserving the cultural features imbued with the countryside spirit.
