Sprinter and hurdler Quach Thi Lan to light cauldron at SEA Games 31 opening

Sprinter and hurdler Quach Thi Lan has been selected to light the cauldron of the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31) at the opening ceremony in Hanoi on May 12, according to the organiser. At the 31st SEA Games, Quach Thi Lan will compete in 400m distance competitions. Previously at the 30th SEA Games in the Philippines, Quach Thi Lan won 2 golds, 1 silver and 1 bronze. At the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, she was the only Vietnamese athletic qualified for the semifinals of the women’s 400m hurdles. VNA Photo: Trần Việt
