Over the past few years, along with ethnic programs and policies and the efforts of the people, the ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Quang Ngai have made remarkable progress and comprehensive changes. Many essential infrastructure projects have been built, the material and spiritual life of ethnic minorities has been increasingly improved, the political system has been consolidated and strengthened, and traditional cultural identity has been preserved, maintained and promoted. In Quang Ngai mountainous areas up to now, 100 per cent of communes have healthcare and education accession, 100 per cent of communes have irrigation systems, local markets and domestic water supply system and 98 per cent of people have access to electricity.
