The northeastern mountainous province of Lang Son entered chestnut season with various activities to promote the local specialty. The province’s Quang Lac commune has the largest chestnut planting area at more than 100 hectares. The commune is also the pioneer in organising festivals in three consecutive years to promote local chestnut. Quang Lac chestnuts have earned its reputation in recent years for its big size and sweet taste, which are as excellent as the chestnuts grown in the famous Cao Bang’s Trung Khanh area.
