Hung Long commune in the northern Phu Tho province’s Doan Hung district is renowned for its early ripe “long mo” lychees. The lychee variety was grown locally about 40-50 years ago, covering a total area of 46 hectares in Hung Long commune. In late May, local people in Phu Tho are busy harvesting “long mo” lychee, with the distinct sweet taste and small seed.
