Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway opens up economic potential in the Northwestern region

The Noi Bai-Lao Cai expressway has been opened to traffic since September 21, 2014, linking Hanoi and the northern border province of Lao Cai. The expressway has a total length of nearly 265km and an investment capital of over 1.46 billion USD. Currently, the Noi Bai-Lao Cai Expressway serves about 35,000-40,000 vehicles a day, acting as an important lifeline in facilitating trade between Vietnam and China and in developing northwest Vietnam.
