“Nha Nhac” (Vietnamese royal court music), which has been recognised by the UNESCO as world cultural heritage, is a special art form to explore in the ancient imperial city of Hue, the central province of Thua Thien-Hue, which brings the audience to ancient days during the Nguyen Dynasty, the most flourishing period of the art. As a priceless treasure of Vietnam, Nha Nhac has its own court orchestra with the presentation of the most valuable musical instruments of Vietnam, such as wind instruments, string instruments, membranophones, among others, associated with rich rhythms and songs with profound content. Nha Nhac performances also featured numerous singers, dancers and musicians dressed in sumptuous costumes. Over the past two decades since UNESCO's recognition, Nha Nhac has been brought closer to the public, thanks to the efforts of generations of artists. VNA Photo
