Twenty-five families of the Mong ethnic minority group in Ta Han hamlet in Cho Don district in the northern mountainous province of Bac Kan have found a new lease on life, now happily settling in a brand-new resettlement area, thanks to the swift response from the Ministry of National Defence. The evacuation was prompted by the alarming sight of numerous cracks in their houses - an aftermath of Super Typhoon Yagi, which struck the country in early September. After 50 days and nights of intensive construction, the Ta Han resettlement area, with 25 new houses, was inaugurated and handed over to the Mong ethnic families. VNA Photo: Nguyễn Công Hải
