Mekong Delta province targets 980 million USD from tra fish exports

The Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap plans to apply the Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) standards to 1,225 hectares of tra fish culturing areas with an expected annual export turnover of 980 million USD. In 2023, the area for culturing tra fish covered 2,450 hectares with a yield of 555,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 17.3 percent. About 1,225 hectares of the total will meet the GAP standards. From now to the year 2025, the annual export turnover is expected to reach 980 million USD.
