Farmer Le Duy Trinh in Quang Ninh district, Quang Binh province, transformed his low-yield single crop rice fields into lotus farming combined with ecotourism, earning significant change in income. He established the Ta Phan agriculture, trade and service business cooperative to produce and process lotus-related products. Each hectare of lotus yields him an income of 80 million VND per year (3,158 USD) from ecotourism and selling fresh lotus seed. The cooperative’s fresh lotus seeds earned a 3-star OCOP certificate, and the cooperative provided stable jobs for dozens of local workers. VNA Photo
