Established around 15th century, Loc Yen village (Thanh Binh Commune in the central city of Da Nang) is considered one of the four most beautiful ancient villages in Vietnam. The village boasts a purely traditional Vietnamese architectural style: wooden houses, tiled roofs, stone alleys, tea hedges and lush fruit orchards, together creating a tranquil and harmonious setting. Currently, eight ancient houses in the village with exquisite wood carvings, some nearly 200 years old, are still preserved. Loc Yen village was listed as a national relics site in September 2019.
