Late Professor Jean Salmon, former Honorary President of the Centre of International Law under the Free University of Brussels, and former member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA), has been awarded the Friendship Order of the Vietnamese State in recognition of his great contributions to the Vietnam-Belgium cooperation, especially in international law. A hand-over ceremony was held by the Vietnamese Embassy in Belgium on October 4 with the participation of the late professor’s relatives, colleagues, and friends. Late Professor Jean Salmon was a distinguished international law scholar, known for his significant contributions to the research and teaching of international law. He played a key role in various cooperation projects on scientific research, legal consultancy, and high-quality personnel training in Vietnam. VNA Photo.: Hương Giang
