An international border crossing between Vietnam and Laos is located in Lao Bao (Huong Hoa district, the central province of Quang Tri) and called the Lao Bao International Border Gate. The checkpoint on the Lao side is called the Dansavan International Border Gate, located in Dansavan village, Savannakhet Province, Laos. Besides conventional Vietnamese visas, it is also an entry point for Vietnamese E-visas. [29/05/2020 10:30:20] Cửa khẩu Lao Bảo thuộc huyện Hướng Hóa (Quảng Trị) là cửa khẩu biên giới tiêu biểu, kiểu mẫu trên tuyến biên giới Việt – Lào, nối liền với các nước trong khu vực: Lào, Thái Lan, Mianma và Khu vực Miền Trung Việt Nam. Tại đây có Khu kinh tế - thương mại đặc biệt Lao Bảo đã được Thủ tướng Chính phủ phê duyệt quy hoạch chung là một trong 9 khu kinh tế cửa khẩu được quan tâm xây dựng đồng bộ cơ sở hạ tầng, quy chế, biện pháp và chính sách.
