The Thien Lam - Go Ken pagoda is situated in Tay Ninh - the land of sun and wind, about 6 - 8 kilometres from Tay Ninh city. Surrounded by paddy fields and tall trees, visitors coming to the pagoda can enjoy its peaceful and natural atmosphere. Thien Lam pagoda (also known locally as Go Ken pagoda) is one of the earliest constructed pagodas in Tay Ninh province. Abbot Thich Tri Luong began construction of the pagoda in 1904, with simple materials like bamboo and leaves, serving the purpose of a tranquil place for zen practices and meditation.
