Hoa Phat Dung Quat Container Port runs first berth

According to the Hoa Phat Group, the Hoa Phat Dung Quat Container General Port in the Dung Quat Economic Zone in the central province of Quang Ngai has put its berth No 6 into operation to welcome the first merchant ship - MV SCSC LUCK of Hong Kong with a tonnage of over 8,300 DWT. The underway Hoa Phat Dung Quat Container Terminal Project has a total investment capital of over 3.7 trillion VND to build 3 berths (No 6, 7 and 8) with a designed annual loading and unloading capacity of 6 million tonnes of cargo and capable to receive ships up to 50,000 DWT. The port’s capacity in the first phase (the berth 6) is 2 million tonnes of cargo/year. VNA Photo
