Hau Giang farmers rejoice with pineapple’s high selling price

Hau Giang province has 3,320 hectares of land dedicated to pineapple plantations, mostly located in Vi Thanh city and Long My district. This year’s favourable weather conditions gave farmers in Hau Giang a bumper pineapple harvest, and each pineapple can weigh around 1 kilogram or more (first-grade pineapple). Traders currently buy pineapples from farmers at a price of 11,000 VND/first-grade pineapple (0.44 USD), while second- and third-grade ones sell at 8,000-9,000 VND (0.32-0.36 USD).
