Hanoi has been listed by American television channel CNN as one of 12 most interesting destinations in the world to visit in autumn, described as "the real bright spot". Autumn is seen as the best time to visit the capital city of Vietnam as the weather is drier and cooler, ideal for walking around the central quarter and watching the quiet ancient streets. Autumn also brings a romantic look to the city with golden sunshine, yellow leaves falling down on streets and blooming tiny white milkwood pine flowers clumped in small clusters. CNN also notes that Hanoi has plenty mush-try dishes to keep foodies satiated such as cha ca (fish cooked with turmeric and dill) and banh tom (shrimp cakes). VNA Photo: Lâm Khánh
