The Hanoi People’s Committee has issued a directive to implement the National Tourism System Planning for 2021–2030, with a vision to 2045, aiming to position tourism as a key economic sector and achieve double-digit growth. The city targets 30 million tourist arrivals by 2030, including 5 million international visitors, and 30 billion USD in tourism revenue. The city's tourism sector flourished in 2024, achieving remarkable growth. The total number of tourists reached 27.86 million, up 12.7% year-on-year. Among them, international visitors totalled 6.35 million, while domestic tourists accounted for 21.51 million. The sector also reported a revenue of approximately 110.5 trillion VND (4.33 million USD), up 18.3% year-on-year. The average occupancy rate for hotels was 62%, 2.9 percentage points higher than in 2023. VNA Photo
