For many generations of Vietnamese people, traditional toys such as paper mache masks, star-shaped lanterns, paper lanterns and little drums are indispensable at Mid-Autumn Festival. The toys are handmade in craft villages on the outskirts of Hanoi, where dedicated artisans work from dusk to dawn to prepare toys for the festival. Through their works, the artisans hope to preserve the precious childhood memories of many Vietnamese people during the Mid-Autumn Festival, and impart the images of traditional toys in the memories of young generations.
