Green sea grape (also known as green salmon caviar) cultivation has brought sizable economic benefits to the central province of Ninh Thuan. Sea grape is grown in the province's coastal waters with a total area of over 50 hectares. Thanks to easy cultivation and maintenance on otherwise abandoned shrimp ponds, low initial investment and especially high export value of sea grape, many local famers have earned higher incomes thus improving their living. High demand of sea grape in markets such as Japan, the Republic of Korea, China and Malaysia, makes it a promising export staple of the province. VNA Photo: Nguyễn Thành
