Hoi An ancient town, recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site in 1999, in late October has been experiencing one of its most severe floods in decades. Many foreigners visiting Hoi An were shocked to see tourist attractions and hotels submerged under floodwaters, disrupting their travel plans.
