The first A Rieu chilli festival recently kicked off at Cong Troi Dong Giang ecotourism zone in Quang Nam province’s Dong Giang district. A Rieu chilli is a tiny chilli variety, an important local spice of Co Tu people living in the Truong Son mountain range. After harvest, A Rieu chillies will be made into local specialties such as: fermented chillies, chilli sauce and chilli salt. The chillies are cultivated using organic farming methods, which has earned a 4-star OCOP standard. The two-day festival, which will last until August 16, aims to attract visitors to Dong Giang district and promote local produce. VNA Photo
