Located in the centre of Buon Ma Thuot city in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak, which is dubbed Vietnam’s coffee capital, the old village of Ako Dhong has become a popular destination for tourists to enjoy coffee. The village of the Ede ethnic minority boasts of a number of traditional long houses and luxuriant vegetation and flowers. Villagers still preserve the gong culture and traditional crafts such as brocade weaving and straw liquor distillation. Escaping the hustle and bustle in the city, visitors to Ako Dhong are able to experience a slow pace of life when enjoying a cup of traditional coffee in small shops.
