A wastewater collection, treatment, and drainage plant funded by the Dutch government was inaugurated at the Phu My New Urban Area in Phu My town, the southern province of Ba Ria – Vung Tau, on October 23. Construction of the project, whose capacity amounts to nearly 30,000 cubic metres per day and night, began in August 2019 with a total investment of over 818 billion VND (nearly 32.2 million USD), including 9.98 million EUR (over 10.7 million USD) in non-refundable official development assistance (ODA) by the Dutch government.
