Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son hosted a reception in Hanoi on July 23 for Cuba's First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Gerardo Penalver Portal, who is visiting Vietnam from July 22 to 25 for a political consultation. As part of his visit, the First Deputy FM of Cuba will co-chair the 8th political consultation between the two foreign ministries, and hold meetings with leaders of the National Assembly's Committee on National Defence, Security and External Relations, and the Ministry of Construction – which serves as the standing body of the Vietnam – Cuba Intergovernmental Committee.
