Kien Trung Palace, located within the Hue Imperial Citadel, shines brilliantly in the autumn sun, exuding a majestic and ancient beauty. It is not only a grand architectural structure of significance within the Imperial City in Hue but also holds numerous historical imprints of the nation. It served as the workplace and living quarters of the last two emperors of the Nguyen Dynasty - Emperors Khai Dinh and Bao Dai. The palace was rebuilt by Emperor Khai Dinh from 1921 to 1923 in a style that blended French architecture, Italian Renaissance architecture and traditional Vietnamese architecture. The entire Kien Trung Palace was built by King Khai Dinh using modern techniques with durable materials such as cement, steel, porcelain shards, and glass. VNA Photo: Nguyên Lý
