Da Lat city is the central governmental, economical, touristic and educational hub of the central highland province of Lam Dong. Striving to become a "Green Paradise" with attractions such as eco-tourism and health tourism in Vietnam and Southeast Asia is one of the development directions for Da Lat’s urban planning. In the development plans for its urban and suburban areas, Da Lat aims to be a high-quality tourism centre in Vietnam as well as Southeast Asia, focusing on intelligent tourism. In order to reach this goal, Da Lat is planning to open new tourism accommodations, focusing on unique tourism products and the distinctive strengths of the city, and implement effective urban management policies to balance conservation and development.
