Co To special zone is a "green" hub in Vietnam's northeast, designated as a special administrative-economic zone in 2025 to develop a modern, sustainable marine economy centered on high-quality ecotourism. The 50.1 square kilometres zone is an archipelago in the Gulf of Tonkin, located to the east of Van Don district and boasting pristine long beaches with blue sea water and white sand along with a diverse ecosystem of primary tropical forests.
