Central Highlands province promotes high-tech agriculture

The Central Highlands province of Lam Dong is leading the country in high-tech agriculture with some 70,300ha under hi-tech agricultural methods. The figure includes 27,150 ha for vegetables, 20,400 ha for coffee, 10,000 ha for fruit trees and 3,500 ha for flowers. In particular, there are 5,688 ha for greenhouse cultivation, applying smart technology such as microclimate sensors, and automatic watering systems to increase productivity and improve the quality of agricultural products and reduce production costs. The province reports an average production value of about 372 million VND (14,270 USD) per ha per year; with many models achieving higher such as vegetable cultivation reaching over 900 million VND (34,540 USD) per ha per year, or flowers - over 3.8 billion VND (145,767 USD) per ha per year.
