The People’s Committee of the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho has approved non-project aid worth 122,000 USD funded by a non-profit organisation of the Netherlands to improve the collection of marine plastic waste by litter traps and set up a recycling system on a trial basis. The funding from Clear Rivers will be used to deploy trash collection equipment and design a recycling programme with the involvement of the local community, thereby helping to improve the plastic waste collection and management system in Can Tho.
