Bumper harvest season of winter melon in Dien Bien’s border area

In early October, the border commune of Thanh Yen in Dien Bien Province is entering the harvest season for winter melon. The commune currently has approximately 50 hectares of the crop, with a yield of around 100 tons per hectare. Thanks to relatively stable market prices, the crop is generating higher income compared to many others, serving as an effective agricultural transition strategy that contributes to improving the livelihoods of local residents in the border region.
