The southeastern province of Binh Thuan is famous for its spearheaded tourism products like: resort tourism combined with adventurous sports tourism, healthcare tourism and cultural tourism. The province is targeting to diversify their tourism products by having craft village tourism, ecotourism, community-based tourism and culinary tourism in food-tour form by 2030. In order to reach this target, a delegation of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Centre for Tourism Promotion recently toured locally popular craft villages to find the best experience, namely: Phu Long rice paper craft village, Cho Lau rice paper craft village and vegetable gardens in Phu Long town, Ham Thuan Bac district; Binh Duc Cham ceramic village, traditional weaving communities and a collection of ancient jewellery and costumes of the Cham people in Bac Binh district. The delegation also tried famous local specialties like banh hoi Phu Long (Phu Long woven bundles of rice vermicelli), vit dam Bac Binh (Bac Binh duck in tomato and pineapple sauce) and lau tha Phan Thiet (Phan Thiet white sardine hot pot). After the two-day tour, the delegation was delighted to discover local tourism potential and new experiences. VNA Photo: Nguyễn Thanh
