In Bau Truc village (Ninh Phuoc commune, Khanh Hoa), time seems to stand still in each rotation of clay. This is not only a craft village, but also a living space of the most unique handmade pottery technique in Southeast Asia, where Cham women keep the fire of a thousand-year heritage. Without using a turntable or an industrial kiln, the people here, with their talented hands and traditional straw and firewood, continue to create products that carry the breath of earth, fire and the soul of Cham culture. The art of Bau Truc pottery of the Cham people was officially listed by UNESCO on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding in 2022. VNA Photo: Nhật Anh
