By successfully crossbreeding the San Tien rose apple variety and applying a strict organic farming process, Mr. Tran Van Phuc from An Quoi hamlet, Cu Lao Dung commune (Can Tho city), has not only enriched his family but also opened up a sustainable path, elevating the value of Vietnamese agricultural products to the world. With 50 hectares of San Tien rose apple cultivation, yielding about 20 tons/ha, and selling prices ranging from 150,000 to 230,000 VND/kg (roughly 5.7 - 8.7 USD depending on the variety), Mr. Phuc earns a profit of 2 billion VND/ha (around 76,277 USD) annually.
