Fishermen in the south central coastal province of Phu Yen spring their nets each year between May and August to catch anchovies, the main ingredient to make Vietnam’s famous fish sauce. Fishing boats set sail, then cast green nets in the deep blue sea, unexpectedly creating a breath-taking scene offshore from the hard work of fishermen. Anchovy harvest season brings more than just a source of income to local fishermen, it reflects the traditional and honourable work of Vietnam’s fishing villages. VNA Photo: Xuân Triệu
