Besides beautiful beaches and the famous Son Tra Peninsula, the central city of Da Nang also has a 400-year-old traditional craft of making fish sauce at Nam O village. The village, located in Da Nang city’s Lien Chieu district, was designated a national intangible cultural heritage. Located three kilometres from the foot of Hai Van Pass, Nam O is one of Vietnam’s oldest and most famous fish-sauce making villages, with a history of more than 400 years.
