Athletics brought further joy for Vietnam on December 16 as Bui Thi Kim Anh claimed the gold medal in the women’s high jump at the 33rd SEA Games, and the athletic women’s team won a gold medal in the 4x400m relay. Meanwhile, the kickboxing team continued its winning ways. In the men’s 57kg full-contact final, Nguyen Quang Huy kicked his way to a dominant performance, launching sustained attacks to overpower Thailand’s Yawanophat Chainarong and secure the gold medal.
