Heavy rains falling non-stop for several days have caused three bridges in Khe Tre Commune, Huế City, to collapse, disrupting traffic along many routes.

On these routes, local authorities have placed warning signs to prevent people and vehicles from passing through, and the traffic police have assigned personnel to block and redirect traffic to routes that are not submerged.

Other regions, including Thanh Hóa, Nghệ Anh, Huế City to Quảng Ngãi, and parts of the Central Highlands, will also see scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Many roads and infrastructure facilities have been destroyed, severely disrupting local production, business activities and daily life.

Huế reported more than 35,000 houses submerged in floodwaters, with two people dead and two missing, while Đà Nẵng saw over 76,000 houses inundated and seven fatalities.

The central city has allocated an emergency relief fund of VNĐ200 billion (US$8 million) in supporting to the victims and households affected by the historical flood, and most of the fund will reserve for food, drink water, blanket and clothes for the worst damage area.

Central Việt Nam has been hit by severe rains, sending water levels on the Vu Gia–Thu Bồn river climbing and submerging parts of Đà Nẵng and Quảng Nam Province.
